Kale Misegades threw a gem on Friday for the Ottertail Central 13U baseball team, allowing zero runs and besting Parkers Prairie by a score of 3-0.  Misegades struck out ten batters over seven innings, allowing six hits and walking one.

Head Coach Ryan Hendrickson said, “Kale and Drew Evavold (catcher), were a pretty tough combo.  They really work well together.  Kale commanded the strike zone with a great mixture of hard fastballs and good off speed pitches, but most importantly had the 10 to 1 ratio of strikeouts to walks and that is simply outstanding!”

Ayden Olson got OTC on the board with an RBI single in the first inning.  Bradyn Roisum and Breidyn Solberg also delivered two-out RBI’s for OTC.

“Breidyn came up huge tonight with a big spot RBI pinch-hit single,” stated Hendrickson.  “Roisum was stealing from second to third and Breidyn hit a sharp ground ball through the shortstop-third base game, scoring Roisum.  That was great baseball!  It was fun to see all of our guys focused on one goal tonight. We had a great atmosphere.”

Al Woodworth led Parkers Prairie with two hits in three at bats.  Trevor Rounds (5.2IP, 3H, 3R, 6K) took the loss on the mound.
