Hurricanes Held to Two Hits in 2-1 Loss to Brewers

The Fergus Falls Hurricanes managed only two hits in their 2-1 loss to the Moorhead Brewers at American Legion Field at DeLagoon Park on Wednesday night.  The Canes fell to 9-4 overall with the loss.

Fergus Falls scored in the third inning when Austin Stanislawski walked to lead off the inning, took second on a wild pitch and crossed the plated on a 2-out single by Alex Hensch.

Joe Hallock hit a lead-off homer for the Brewers in the top of the fourth to tie the game at 1-1.  In the eighth, Mike Peschel singled, moved to second on a base hit by David Ernst, and Parker Harm delivered an RBI single.

Fergus Falls High School graduate Ryan Olson (3IP, 1K, 1BB, 1H, 0R) was the winning pitcher.

The loss went to Darin Stanislawski (5IP, 5K, 1BB, 6H, 1ER), in relief of starter Mitch Porter (4IP, 3K, 3BB, 2H, 1ER).

The Canes return to Countryside League play with a double header at Pelican Rapids beginning at 5:30pm.
