The Ottertail Central 15U Raptors snagged a late lead and defeated Wheaton/Herman-Norcross 19-9 on Monday.  The game was tied at eighth with OTC batting in the bottom of the fifth inning when Owen Harig singled to drive in a pair of runs.  WHN had scored five times in the top of the fifth to pull even, but the Raptors regained the lead in the bottom of the inning and held it for the remainder of the game.

Harig picked up the win in relief, going two innings, allowing four hits and two runs.  Kaleb Hammes (4IP, 7H, 7R, 5K) started on the mound for OTC.

Noah Adelman (3IP, 6R, 4H, 2K) was the starting pitcher for Wheaton/Herman-Norcross.  He was followed by Jude Olson, Holden Rinke and Zack Rickamoro.

OTC had ten hits in the game, led by Soren Floden (4-5).  Harig also had multiple hits for the Raptors, who ran wild on the bases with 15 steals.  They were led by Collin Lukken with five stolen bases.

Kyle Kramer (3-4) led Wheaton/Herman-Norcross at the plate.  They had a total of 11 hits on the day.

“It wasn’t a pretty win, but a win is a win,” commented OTC Head Coach Evan Meece.  “We battled at the end to put Wheaton down.  We’ll build off this momentum moving forward.”
