The Fergus Falls 10u Otters traveled to Barnesville on Monday night and took two games from the Trojans, winning game one by a score of 7-2 before taking the nightcap 13-3.

The Otters jumped on top right away in the 1st- Dexter Felstul, Chase Johnston and Gus Proudfoot (2RBI) singled with 2 outs in the inning to open the scoring.  The Otters tacked on a couple more in the 2nd when Hayden Heruth (1b) and Landon Noon (BB) scored on a booming Weston Youngberg double.  The inning ended with Jude Moline getting robbed of extra bases as his laser to left center was caught.  The Otters closed out the scoring in the 3rd scoring three more times.  Felstul (3b), Johnston (1b), Proudfoot (1b), Owen Johnson (2b) and Cade Johnson (1b) all had had great at bats to keep the offense firing on all cylinders.  Kade Johnson started the game throwing two no-hit innings.  O. Johnson and Isaac Jenc came on in relief to pitch 1 effective inning each in relief.

Game 2 was more of the same for the Otters as the offense continued to feast on Trojan pitching.  In the 1st- Jenc (1b), Felstul (2b), Johnston (BB) and Frank Schierer (1b) all scored to get the Otters on top early.  The Otters tacked on three runs in each of the next three innings with a consistent offensive attack and aggressive mindset at the plate.  Felstul had a great night collecting 5 hits, four of which went for extra bases.  Johnston and Youngberg also had big nights as they had 3 hits and 2 RBI’s each.   Felstul started on the hill for the Otters going 2 strong innings.  Proudfoot and Heruth came on in relief, pitching an inning each while holding the Trojans in check.

With the wins the Otters improved to 17-4 on the season.  They will play at Alexandria next Tuesday night.
