Mudcats Blank Hurricanes in Morris

The Moorhead Mudcats held the Fergus Falls Hurricanes to just 3 hits as they recorded a 4-0 shutout win at the Mike Johnson Memorial Tournament in Morris on Saturday.

Losing pitcher Darin Stanislawski struck out 10 batters in 7 innings of work, scattering 8 hits and allowing two earned runs.

The win went to Caleb Saari who fanned 14 in his seven innings on the mound.  Noah Pilon led Moorhead at the plate with 3 hits in 3 at bats, scoring 3 runs.

Alex Hensch, Jake Anderson and Tosten Mann each collected a hit for the Canes.

Fergus Falls will the host Morris Eagles for 3rd place at 1:00pm Sunday at Chizek Field in Morris.
