The Hancock Owls scored a pair of first inning runs on Friday when they hosted Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa in their final regular season baseball game.  BBE got single runs in the third and sixth to tie the game at 2-2 and the Jaguars then scored 3 runs in the top of the eleventh to clinch the victory.

BBE was led by Peyton Winter (3-4, RBI, R, 2BB, SB), Will VanBeck (2-5, 2B, R), Ashton Dingmann (2-5, R, SB) and Andrew Weller (2-4, BB, SB).  VanBeck threw three and a-third innings of scoreless relief, striking out six batters to earn the win.  Winter (3IP, 3H, 2R, 0ER, 3K) was the starter for the Jaguars and Wyatt Steffensen (4.2IP, 2H, 8K) turned in a solid relief appearance in the middle innings.

Kody Berget (2-5, 2B, RBI, R) and Dain Schroeder (1-4, 2B, RBI, SB) were the hitting leaders for the Owls.  Adam Shaw scored the other Hancock run.  Taylor Hanson and Devon Schroeder also had singles.  The Owls used three pitchers with Berget (6IP, 8H, 2ER, 7K, 1BB) getting the start.  Hudson Ver Steeg (1IP, 1H, 2BB) and Preston Rohloff (4IP, 4H, 3R, 1ER, 5K, 2BB) finished the game in relief.
