Bemidji pitcher Aaron Heger fanned 17 Otters on Tuesday as the Lumberjacks recorded a 3-1 victory over Fergus Falls on Senior Night at American Legion Field at DeLagoon Park.

A pair of wind blown pop ups led to the first run of the game in the top of the fifth, giving Bemidji a 1-0 lead.  Fergus Falls tied the game in the bottom of the sixth when Ian Stumbo broke up Heger's no-hitter with a single, which was followed by a base hit by Carter Thielke and an RBI single from Aric Heacox.  A bunt single by Abel Aho loaded the bases, but the Otters were unable to do anymore damage.  Bemidji scored 2 in the 7th to secure the win.

Aho (7IP, 3R, 1ER, 4H, 1BB, 5K) excelled in his start on the mound for Fergus Falls.

"I'm super proud of the way the guys played in this game," said Fergus Falls Head Coach Kevin Pearson.  "We faced a really good pitcher and Abel went toe-to-toe with him.  Our defense made the plays behind him throughout the game."

Seniors Abel Aho, Aric Heacox, Ian Stumbo, Bryce Burrill, David Horgen, Wyatt Goetz, Jack Uhrich and Drew Bailey were recognized on Senior Night.

The Otters travel to Thief River Falls on Thursday and will go to Sauk Rapids for a Friday double header to end their regular season schedule.
