Arrows Bounce Back After First Loss to Beat LPGE 6-1

The Ashby Arrows bounced back from their first loss of the season to hand Long Prairie-Grey Eagle a 6-1 loss on Tuesday.

 

“I’m proud of the guys for bouncing back after a tough loss last night,” commented Head Coach Jared Larson of the Arrows.  “It was a great regular season and I am looking forward to seeing what the post season has in store.”

Ashby struck early as Carter Spangler drove in a first inning run with a base hit.  The Arrows tallied three runs in the sixth inning with Carter and Carson Spangler driving in runs.  Ashby had 9 hits, led by Carter Spangler with 3 hits in four at bats.  He also stole three bases.  Brodie Ecker and Evan Paulson contributed two hits apiece.

Winning pitcher Jaden Norby surrendered one run on six hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out nine batters.

Ashby ends the regular season with a record of 19-1.
