The Ashby baseball team lost for the first time in 19 games this season on Monday when they were beaten by Upsala/Swanville Area, 4-3. The Cardinals broke a 3-3 tie with a run in the bottom of the sixth inning on a single by Cooper Thieschafer, to bring home the winning run.
Miles Hoff delivered a 2-run single in the second inning to give Ashby the early lead. He went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Hunter Norby (3.1IP, 1R, 2H, 7K) started on the mound for the Arrows and Thieschafer (6IP, 3H, 3R, 5K) was the starter for Upsala/Swanville Area. Levi Lampert (1IP, 0H, 0R) was the winning pitcher for Upsala/Swanville Area.
