Brandon-Evansville made quick work of St. John’s Prep on Thursday as they jumped out to a 4-0 led in the first inning, added four more in the second, a single run in the third and then closed out their 13-0 win with four in the fifth.  Winning pitcher Jayden Hoidahl threw the first 3 innings, allowing one hit and fanning two batters.  Brady Perleberg (2IP, 2H, 1BB, 6K) finished up on the mound.

“Both Jayden and Brady pitched very well, collecting eight strikeouts between the two of them in a five inning game,” stated B-E Head Coach Brian Perleberg.  “Kyle Schaffran turned in an excellent catch in center field that resulted in a double play and the offense was putting some good swings on the ball.”

Schaffran also went 3-for-3 at the plate with a pair of doubles, scoring 3 times.  Tyler Bitzan (2-3, 2B, 4 RBI), Brady Perleberg (2-3, 4R, 2SB), Lucas Fuller (2-3, 2 RBI) and Dezmond White (1-3, 2 RBI, 2R) also contributed at the plate.

The Chargers will now travel to Parkers Prairie for a non-conference game on Monday.
