Ashby Earns Softball Split with Swanville

Ashby split a softball double header with Swanville on Tuesday, winning game one by the score of 7-3 and losing the nightcap by the score of 13-1.

 

In the opener, Ashby scored early as Kate Jensen doubled in the first inning, scoring three runs.  Ivy Aufdenkamp led the Arrows with two hits in three at bats.  Madison Bestul was credited with the victory, surrendering three runs on seven hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out 13.

In game two the Arrows struggled at the plate and had a tough time defensively.  Swanville racked up nine hits in the contest.  Ashby was led by Ryleigh Brendmoen with two hits in two at bats.
