An RBI single by Evan Paulson in the top of the sixth inning broke a 6-6 tie and carried the Ashby baseball team to a 7-6 win over Browerville/Eagle Valley on Monday afternoon.

Ashby built a 6-0 lead in the fourth inning and the Tigers followed with six runs of their own.

Paulson led the Arrows with 3 hits in 4 at bats.

Hunter Norby (4IP, 0H, 0R, 6K) was the starting pitcher for Ashby.  Jaden Norby got the win in relief and Carter Spangler earned the save.

“It wasn’t pretty, but we found a way to win,” commented Ashby Head Coach Jared Larson.  “Props to Browerville on never giving up and playing a full game.”

Ashby (13-0) will host Ortonville in a double header on Thursday.
