Owls Win Both Ends of Double Header with Ortonville

The Hancock Owls swept a double header against Ortonville on Thursday, winning game one 2-1 and taking game two 8-2.

The game was tied 1-1 in the bottom of the sixth when Hancock pushed across the game winning run.  Dain Schroeder (1-2, R) and Devon Schroeder (1-2, RBI) led the Owls at the plate.  Preston Rohloff (6IP, 3H, 1R, 0ER, 9K, 1BB) was the winning pitcher and Hudson Ver Steeg (1IP, 1H, 1K) earned the save with a scoreless inning of relief.

Kody Berget (5.2IP, 1H, 1R, 0ER, 9K, 3BB) was the winning pitcher in game two as the Owls posted at 8-2 victory over the Trojans.  Berget (2-3, 2 RBI, 2R, SB), Preston Rohloff (2-4, 3R, SB), Devon Schroeder (1-2, BB, R, 2SB) and Adam Shaw (2-5, SB) were the hitting leaders for Hancock.  The Owls had ten hits in the game compared to two for Ortonville.
