Spuds Take Advantage of 13 Perham Walks to Top Yellowjackets 13-3

The Moorhead Spuds jumped out to a 7-0 lead after the first inning on Tuesday and went on to post a 13-3 win over the Perham Yellowjackets. The Spuds capitalized on 13 Perham walks in the game.

Gage Germolus had two hits in two at bats, including a double, and drove in two runs to lead Perham. Chas Melvin was 1-for-3 with a run batted in. Ben Shumansky, Rian Solberg and Jacob McAllister were all 1-for-2 at the plate and each scored one run.

Perham (2-1) will play two games at Hawley on Thursday.
