Moorhead had a pair of 3-run innings on Monday afternoon as they recorded a 6-1 high school softball victory over Fergus Falls.  Both teams had four hits in the game, but the Otters committed four errors.  The Spuds also stole 7 bases and capitalized on 8 walks.

Kacey Fredrickson scored the only run of the game for Fergus Falls.  Madilyn Budke picked up two hits in three at bats, while Lizzie Moxness and Fredrickson had one hit each.  Karyssa Eberle walked twice for the Otters.

Rylynn Krein (4IP, 4H, 6R, 5ER, 4K, 8BB) took the loss.  Fredrickson (2IP, 1K, 0BB, 0H, 0R) pitched two solid innings of relief.

"Essentially, we just took too long to get our bats going," said Fergus Falls Head Coach Lisa Truax.  "It's something we've been talking about all season, how do we get ready to play from the first pitch?  We haven't had a consistent schedule this spring, which makes it difficult to get into a good flow. We should have eight  games under us by now, instead we have three. We'll come around quick once we get into rhythm, and once we do - we're going to be tough."

Fergus Falls will host St. Cloud Apollo in a Central Lakes Conference double header beginning at 4:00pm Tuesday at DeLagoon Park.  The Otters new field will be dedicated prior to the game with a special ceremony starting at 3:30.
