Norby Fans 12 as Arrows Top Hancock 7-1

The Ashby Arrows defeated Hancock 7-1 in Pheasant Conference baseball action on Friday thanks to five runs in the sixth inning.  The Arrows's big inning was driven by singles by Evan Paulson, Torin Olson, and Carter Spangler and a sacrifice fly by Mattson Hoff.

Ashby put up five runs in the sixth inning.  The offensive onslaught came from singles by Paulson, Olson, and Spangler and a sacrifice fly by Hoff.

Jaden Norby took the win for the Arrows. The right hander went seven innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out 12 and walking zero.

Preston Rohloff took the loss for Hancock. Rohloff went five and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits and striking out four.

Spangler, Carson Spangler, Norby, Hunter Norby, Paulson, Olson, and Brodie Ecker each collected one hit to lead Ashby.

“Jaden was on again tonight and our offense was behind him,” noted Ashby Head Coach Jared Larson. “We had some great at bats tonight in key situations.”
