The Ashby Arrows defeated Hancock 1-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.  Hunter Norby started the game and pitched five innings of no-hit ball, striking out ten. Jaden Norby allowed one hit and no runs over two innings of relief, striking out four batters.  Neither pitcher issued a walk in the game.

Andy Bergett (0.1IP, H, R, K) took the loss for the Owls. Taylor Hanson started the game for Hancock, pitching 3 innings of no-hit ball.

“Both team’s pitchers were dialed in today,” reported Ashby Head Coach Jared Larson. “It was a very fun game to be a part of and I am super proud of the boys for battling the cold and playing hard. It is great to be on the field again and can’t wait to see what’s to come!”

Jaden Norby went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Ashby Arrows in hits, while Bergett led Hancock with one hit in three at bats.

The two teams will play again Friday in Hancock.
