Hamline JV Team Records Walk-Off Win over M State

M State rallied from a 4-0 deficit to take a 5-4 lead in the seventh inning of their game with the Hamline University JV team on Thursday, April 15 in St. Paul, however, Hamline pushed across a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to record a 6-5 walk-off victory over the Spartans.

Michael Maanum (3IP, 0H, 3ER, 3BB, K) started on the mound and was relieved by Teigen Moritz (4IP, H, R, 0ER, 4BB, 3K), Wyatt Hamann (1IP, K) and Will Hoernemann (LP, 4H, 2R, ER).  Kyle Doup drove in 2 runs with a double.  Isaiah Sykora, Tyler Wapola and Ty Kargar each had one RBI, while Christian Norby, Austin Oetter, Hamann, Wapola and Kargar each scored a run.

M State will host North Dakota State College of Science in their next game on Tuesday, April 20 at 3:00pm in Fergus Falls.  They are scheduled to travel to International Falls for a double header with Rainy River on Wednesday, April 21, before returning home to host Itasca in a double header on Thursday, April 22.
