The Rocori Spartans swept past the Fergus Falls softball team in a double header on Thursday, winning 12-2 in the first game and 11-4 in game two.

Rocori scored a run in the bottom of the first inning, but Fergus Falls tied the game with a run in the top of the second.  A seven run second inning put the Spartans on top 8-1.  They added a single run in the third, two more in the fourth and another in the fifth.  Fergus Falls scored their second run in the top of the fifth inning.  Rocori delivered three home runs in the game.

The Otters had only two hits in the game, singles by Kellen Frigaard and Karyssa Eberle.  Eberle drove in Gabby Brimhall with a sacrifice fly in the second inning and then scored on a wild pitch in the fifth.

Game two was won by the Spartans 11-3.  Rocori had 11 hits in the game.  The Otters fell behind early, allowing a run in the first, six in the second and one in the third to build an 8-0 lead.  Kiara Grady, Karyssa Eberle, Gabby Brimhall, Rylynn Krein and Kacey Fredrickson each collected on hit to lead the Otters.  Fergus Falls got on the scoreboard in the fifth when Lizzie Moxness stole home as a part of a double steal.  In the sixth Krein and Brimhall both stole home as part of double steal attempts.

The Otters will host St. Cloud Tech in a double header at 4:00pm Tuesday on their new field at DeLagoon Park in Fergus Falls.
