It has been 676 days since the last time the Otter Tail Central Bulldogs competed in a track meet. That was the state meet in 2019, due to the Covid-19 pandemic the 2020 season was cancelled before a meet could be run. On Thursday when the team traveled to Pillager they left with 19 event winners and a new school record.

Pillager was dealing with technical difficulties with the running results so there are no official times but the places are correct, the field events results are official.

The highlight of the meet happened early when Grace VanErp broke her own school record in the triple jump with a leap of 37-06. Vanerp also went on to win the long jump with a jump of 16-09.

The trio of Ally Hart, Amelia Blaskowski, and Jorja Gabrielson swept the top three spots of the high jump with Hart winning clearing 4-10.

The wins started piling up once the running events started. OTC won both the girls, Ally Goodman, Kallyn Grove, Becca Johnson, and Jorja Gabrielson,  and boys, Kyle Tienery, Joseph Froslee, Blake Alonzo and Isaac Scherfenberg, 4x800 relay.

The Bulldogs also swept the 4x200 meter relays, the girls team was made up of Hart, Brooke Hovland, Erika Heibel, and VanErp. While the guys consisted of Isaac Hallberg, Drew Durbin, Brady VanErp, and Nick Carter.

The 4x400 relays also were won by the Bulldogs, Hovland, Gabrielson, Johnson and VanErp for the girls and Hallberg, Alonzo, Scherfenberg, and Carter for the boys.
