Wyatt Hamann pitched well in the opener, striking out 3 batters, allowing 3 hits and walking 4. Two of the three runs were earned against him. Hamann also scored the lone run for M State. After being hit by a pitch to lead off the seventh he advanced to second on a base hit by Isaiah Sykora and came around to score on a single by Kyle Doup.
“I thought Wyatt really pitched great,” said M State Head Coach Grant Harding. “Century has a really good ball club and we had a chance to tie in the top of the 7th in game one. The second game we just didn't pitch well enough to win.”
