Panthers Jump Out to Early Lead in Playoff Win Over Battle Lake

Parkers Prairie jumped out to a commanding lead early in their Section 6A playin game against Battle Lake on Wednesday night, taking a 28-9 halftime lead on the way to a 66-24 victory.

“We were outplayed from the start,” said Battle Lake Head Coach David Marso.  “They continued to score effectively in the second half and we just couldn’t get back in the game.”

Faith Alberts led all scorers with 29 points, 17 of which came in the second half.  Megan Blake also chipped in 17 for the Panthers.

Ady Tysdal led the Battlers with 11 points.

Battle Lake ends their season with a record of 8 wins and 11 losses.

Parkers Prairie (15-3) will host West Central Area (14-5) on Friday night at 7:00pm.
