The M State lady Spartans traveled to Sisseton on Tuesday night and posted an 86-62 victory over the Sisseton-Wahpeton lady Mustangs. M State started quickly with a 28 point first quarter and led 50-26 at the half. They increased their lead to 71-42 after three quarters.
Sabrina Fronning scored 23 points to lead the lady Spartans. Jayna Gronewold and Lindsey Kurz scored 17 apiece and Abby Tysdal connected on four 3’s on the way to a 14 point night. Emily Larson chipped in with 10 points.
The Lady Mustangs placed four players in double digits, led by Rubie Ofendal with 19, including five 3’s. Hailey Shepherd added 13, Karleigh Miller had 12 and Katelyn Beaudreau contributed 10.
The lady Spartans will host Minnesota West at 5:30pm Tuesday at M State in Fergus Falls.
