Alexandria Settles for 2-2 Tie with Brainerd/Little Falls

Brainerd/Little Falls scored a pair of first period goals to take an early lead on the Alexandria Cardinals on Thursday night, however, the Cardinals scored single goals in each of the second and third periods to tie the game at 2-2.  The two teams played a scoreless overtime and settle for a 2-2 tie.

A power play goal by Peyton LeMieur at 4:29 of the first period was assisted by Lucy PetersonEmma Booth added an even strength goal from Reagan Aus at 5:57 and Brainerd/Little Falls led 2-0.

Makenna Aure’s power play goal at 7:19 of the second period cut the lead in half.  Anna Doherty and Riley Nyberg assisted on the tally.

Doherty added a goal at 5:11 of the third, assisted by Lauren Maras to tie the game.

Alexandria goalie Jordan O’Kane stopped 32 of 34 shots on goal and the Cardinals put 29 shots on the Brainerd/Little Falls net.
