Brandon-Evansville traveled to Upsala and recorded a 53-44 girls’ basketball win.  B-E shot 40% (21-52) from the field and made 11-of-15 free throws.

“It was a good non-conference road win for the girls tonight at Upsala,” commented Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Zach Traphagen. “We came out very aggressive and composed to jump out to an early 17-3 lead. Then we kind of let our guard down and got too comfortable and Upsala climbed right back in it. We were able to hold a decent 8-12 point lead throughout the second half, and made free throws down the stretch to seal the win. Bailey Schaefer and Mikenna Pattrin had great offensive games as we took advantage of some mismatches in the post.”

Bailey Schaefer poured in 24 points, snared 4 rebounds, dished out 3 assists and came up with 5 steals.  Mikenna Pattrin had 21 points, 2 assists, 3 rebounds and 4 blocked shots.  Olivia Otto scored 6 points and had a team high 10 rebounds.

Brandon-Evansville (7-8) will host Ortonville on Thursday and Parkers Prairie on Friday before closing out their regular season schedule at Rothsay on Saturday night.
