Knights Earn Tenth Win

The West Central Area Knights picked up their 10th win of the year moving to 10-4 on the season with a 59-21 boys’ basketball win over the Ortonville Trojans.

Knight Coach Kraig Hunter said, "Good defensive effort. The Trojans scored two field goals in the first two minutes and two in the last two minutes and we held them to three total field goals in the middle 32 minutes and seven total for the game."

Leaders for the Knights were Ryder Staples with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists; Grant Beuckens had 12 points, 3 steals and 3 rebounds; Brady Reeve had 8 points, 12 rebounds and 3 steals; Tate Christenson had 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals; Cole Anderson had 5 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists; Jacob Strunk had 5 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals; Cam Anderson had 4 points, 3 rebounds, and led the team with 5 assists; Xander Bontjes had 2 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist; and Nathaniel Junker rounded out the scoring with 2 points.

Owen Longnecker led the Trojans with 6 points, Dru Boots had 5 points, Nathan Miska 4 points, Daunte Fetters 3 points, Micah Henrich 2 points, and Zack Anderson 1 point.

West Central Area (10-4) will host Barnesville on Monday night.
