Barnesville hit 48% (22-45) of their field goal attempts and buried 20-of-31 free throws on Monday night as they recorded a 66-64 win over Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton in a Heart O’ Lakes Conference battle in Barnesville.

After missing the previous game with an ankle injury, Adam Tonsfeldt returned to the Trojans lineup in a big way, scoring 22 points and coming up with 3 steals.  Kaden Zenzen had 13 points and 7 rebounds.  Jack Nielsen led the team with 3 assists and also scored 8 points.  Tate Inniger finished with 6 points and 6 boards.

“Great gut-check win for our team,” commented Barnesville Assistant Coach Tracy Hinsz.  “We had several guys step up and produce for us.  Tate Inniger had a strong game for us when Kaden Zenzen got into some early foul trouble and Zach Bredman came off the bench to score 6 second half points.  Cam Heng turned in a solid defensive performance.”

Owen Leach scored 17 to lead the Rebels.

Barnesville (8-4) has back-to-back home games coming up with Moorhead on Thursday and Breckenridge on Friday.

DGF (4-5) will host Detroit Lakes on Thursday and Pelican Rapids on Friday.
