Strong Second Half Leads Perham Boys Past Barnesville

Barnesville traveled to Perham on Thursday night for a Heart O’ Lakes Conference boys’ basketball contest.  The Trojans took a 29-28 halftime lead, however, Perham outscored the visitors 36-22 over the final 18 minutes to post a 64-51 victory.

Perham made 56% (27-48) of their shots and hit 10-of-24 (42%) from 3-point range.  They were led by 15 points from Soren AndersonMicah Thompson, Finn Diggins and Elijah Morris each contributed 11.  Morris and Gabe Thompson had 7 rebounds apiece to lead the Yellowjackets.  Morris also had a team high 6 assists.

Adam Tonsfeldt led Barnesville with 17 points and Noah Krause joined him in double figures with 11.  Jack Nielsen added 9 points and Kaden Zenzen had 7.  Barnesville shot 41.5% (17-41) from the field.
