Kody Berget (26) and Matt Thompson (25) combined for 51 points on Tuesday night, leading the Hancock boys’ basketball team to a 75-54 win over Brandon-Evansville.  Thompson also had 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals.  Preston Rohloff contributed 9 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists, while Adam Shaw had 5 assists and 6 boards.

The Owls hit 51% (28-55) of their field goal attempts.  The Chargers shot 53% (19-36) from the floor, but turned the ball over 19 times on the night.

“At halftime we were down 35-30 and I thought we played some really good stretches of basketball,” commented B-E Head Coach Trent Hintermeister. “We came out after halftime and turned the ball over too many times and let them go on a little run to start the second half. Credit to Hancock for playing a complete game.”

Leaders for Brandon-Evansville were Titus Fuller and Tyler Bitzan with 16 points each.  Bitzan completed a double-double by grabbing 11 rebounds and also had a pair of assists.  Brian Lauthen chipped in with 8 points and Kobe Reiland added 7 points and 4 assists.

Hancock (8-4) will play at KMS on Friday.

Brandon-Evansville (4-8) hosts Rothsay Friday night.
