Ella Westlund scored all 3 goals for the Alexandria Cardinals on Tuesday night as they recorded a 3-0 shutout victory over River Lakes. Alexandria had 37 shots on goal and Jordan O’Kane turned aside all 25 shots she faced in the Cardinals net.
Westlund’s first goal at 13:42 of the first period was assisted by Hanley Block.
In the second period, Marki Oberg and Lauren Maras earned assists on the goal just 50 seconds into the period.
At 8:29 of the third, Ali Castle picked up the assist as Westlund completed her hat trick.
The Cardinals (7-4-1) have won four straight games. They will play at Sartell on Thursday night.
