After a scoreless first period the Cardinals struck at 9:05 of the second when Anna Doherty cashed in off assists from Ali Castle and Lauren Maras.  Brainerd-Little Falls pulled event at 10:55 on a goal by Macy Peterson, assisted by Lucy Peterson and Molly Pohlkamp.

The game winner came at 9:06 of the third on an unassisted goal by Brynne Folden.

Alexandria goalie Hailee Bailey stopped 17 shots and the Cardinals put 18 shots on the Brainerd-Little Falls net.
