Perham overcame a one point halftime deficit on Friday night and outscored Hawley 40-24 in the second half to record a 65-50 Heart O’ Lakes Conference boys’ basketball victory. Perham shot 49% (23-47) from the field, while the Nuggets hit just 32% (16-50) of their field goal attempts.
Finn Diggins registered a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. He also dished out 5 assists and blocked a pair of shots. Micah Thompson added 14 points, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 boards. Gabe Thompson (10 points, 5 rebounds) and Elijah Morris (10 points, 8 rebounds) were also in double digits.
Hawley was led by Brevin Stoa with 13 points. Brady Gratton chipped in with 9 points and Hayden Grani contributed 8.
Perham (9-2) will host Barnesville on Thursday and Pequot Lakes on Friday.
Hawley (3-7) is home against DGF on Tuesday night.
