Ana Jyrkas stopped 16 of 17 shots on goal and the Fergus Falls girls’ hockey team recorded a 3-1 road win at Bemidji on Tuesday night.  The Otters put a total of 25 shots on the Bemidji net.

“Jyrkas was outstanding tonight with huge, timely saves,” commented Fergus Falls Head Coach Tim Lill.  “This was long roadie on a Tuesday night, but the girls really came to play.”

Maddie Hulter got the scoring started with an assist from Hope Goepferd in the opening period.  After a scoreless second period the Otters added a pair of unassisted third period goals from Ellie Andersen and Piper Andrews.  Bemidji’s lone goal came in the third.

The Otters (5-4-1) will host East Grand Forks on Thursday night.
