Arrows Beat Owls to Remain Unbeaten

The Ashby Arrows Boys’ Basketball Team remained unbeaten with a 68-56 victory over the Hancock Owls on Tuesday night.  Ashby led 31-26 at halftime.

Torin Olson made six three point baskets in the second half and seven altogether to lead the Arrows with 21 points.  Hunter Norby scored 14 of his 16 points in the first half.  Jacob Cook finished with 12 points.  Derrek Bartz scored 5 points, Ashton Ecker 4, and Carson Spangler made two free throws.  Bobby Anderson contributed valuable minutes off the bench and Jaden Norby grabbed a team high eleven rebounds to go along with his eight points.

Hancock's post player Matt Thompson led all scorers with 24 points.  Kody Berget also reached double figures with 17 points including 5 three pointers.

“The boys did a good job taking care of the ball against Hancock's multiple defenses,” observed Ashby Head Coach John Holsten.

The win improves the Arrows overall record to 9-0.  They host the Underwood Rockets Friday evening.

Hancock (6-4) goes to Graceville Friday night to face Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley.
