The Ashby Arrows Boys Basketball Team defeated the Parkers Prairie Panthers 61-48.  The Arrows led 27-18 at the break.  The Panthers trailed at one time in the first half 27-13 but went on a 13-2 run to cut the Arrow lead to 29-26 early in the second half.  Ashby made some big shots down the stretch to seal the win.

Hunter Norby led the Arrows in scoring with 16 points and played terrific defense throughout the game.  Jacob Cook was the only other Arrow player to reach double figures netting 14 points.  Derrek Bartz gave the Arrows a spark off the bench scoring eight big first half points.  Ashton Ecker and Torin Olson also finished with eight points apiece.  Jaden Norby contributed 7 points and led the Arrows with ten rebounds and seven assists.  Bobby Anderson provided valuable minutes off the bench as well.

The Panthers had three players reach double figures.  Florian Koep led the way and was the game's leading scorer with 18 points.  Micah Arens was close behind scoring 17 and Brenden Johnson added 11.

“Everyone who played for the Arrows provided a significant contribution to the victory,” said Ashby Head Coach John Holsten.

With the win the Arrows (8-0, 6-0 LEC) take over sole possession of first place in the Little Eight Conference.  They host the Hancock Owls next Tuesday night.

Parkers Prairie (6-2, 5-1 LEC) will travel to Evansville to face the Brandon-Evansville Chargers on Tuesday night.
