Perham hosted DGF in a Heart O’ Lakes Conference boys’ basketball game on Thursday night at the Hive in Perham. The Yellowjackets rallied from a 32-28 halftime deficit to pull even at the end of regulation at 59-59, forcing overtime. In the OT period the ‘Jackets outscored the Rebels 13-10 to take a 72-69 victory.
Owen Leach had a huge game for DGF, scoring 34 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Cody Schreiber and Logan Bitker added 10 points each. The Rebels shot 422.6% (20-47) from the field and 76% (22-29) from the line.
Leaders for Perham were Micah Thompson (24 points, 10 rebounds, 9-10 FT), Elijah Morris (23 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals.) and Finn Diggins (14 points, 6 rebounds). The Yellowjackets made 45.3% (24-53) of their field goal attempts and connected on 17-of-25 free throws.
Perham (6-2) will host Esko at 5:30pm Saturday.
DGF (3-2) has a 2:30pm Saturday home game with Pequot Lakes.
