After playing a solid first half and leading by 12, Hawley extended the lead to begin the second half. Park Rapids chipped away though and got it down to 7 a couple of times in the last few minutes.

Hayden Grani led the Nuggets with 22 points and Brady Gratton added 17.  Justin Koski was also in double digits, scoring 11 points.

“It was good to go on the road and get a win,” said Hawley Assistant Coach Travis Haugen. “The boys executed the game plan well. Now it’s time to prepare for Pelican Rapids on Thursday night, which will be a good test.”

The win was the second in a row for the Nuggets who are now 3-4.  They will travel to Pelican Rapids on Thursday night.
