The Rothsay boys’ basketball team traveled to Parkers Prairie for a Little Eight matchup Friday night. The first half saw Parkers Prairie take a 16-0 run, but the Tigers battled back to a 42-34 halftime deficit. The second half brought a back and forth battle with the Tigers getting it as close as 4, but the Panthers were too much down the stretch winning by a 84-72 final.
“The boys competed all night, and besides a 2-3 minute stretch early in the first half it was a back and forth game,” said Rothsay Head Coach Taylor Fuhs.
Rothsay was led by Tanner Heier with 29 points and Colby Larson with 18.
Rothsay (3-4) will host Battle Lake on Tuesday and Hillcrest on Friday.
Parkers Prairie (5-1) has won four in a row. The Panthers will entertain West Central Area on Tuesday and travel to Ashby on Friday.
