The Parkers Prairie girls’ basketball team defeated Ashby 63-31 in a Little Eight Conference contest on Thursday night in Ashby.

Celi Nelson (13 points, 10 rebounds) and Ryleigh Brendmoen (5 points, 5 assists) were the leaders for the lady Arrows.

“Parkers is really tough, good inside and out, just too much for us to handle right now,” stated Ashby Head Coach Kip Nelson.  “Unfortunately, we decided to make it easy for them.  We had come into the game with some momentum on the defensive end that was not there tonight.  We did see some good things from our younger players, we can build on that.”

No information was reported by Parkers Prairie.

Ashby (1-6) will host LPGE on Tuesday and Wheaton/Herman-Norcross on Thursday.

Parkers Prairie (6-0) has a road game at Hancock on Saturday afternoon.
