The West Central Area Knights jumped out to a big 18-5 lead to start the game but the Warriors fought back with four consecutive threes at one point to cut it to 20-19.  The Knights then took control and went into the half leading 33-21. The second half was all Knights as they jumped out to a 48-26 lead early and had their biggest lead at 62-34 before going on to win with a  64-42 final.

Knight Coach Kraig Hunter said, "We are starting to do a lot of things well and continuing to bring energy.  Great contributions from everyone again tonight."

The Knights had real balanced scoring as the leaders were Grant Beuckens with 14, Brady Reeve 12, Tate Christenson 11, Ryder Staples 10 and Jacob Strunk with 8.

Staples and Strunk led the rebounding category with 7 and 6, respectively. Tate Christenson added 5 rebounds, 9 assists, and 2 steals and Beuckens had 3 assists and led the team with 4 steals.

Dylan Bainbridge led Wheaton with 15, followed by Caden Splilde with 12 and Clint Determan with 9.  Andrew Walker had 4 rebounds and 4 assists.

"We simply didn’t play a good game of basketball tonight," said Warriors Head Coach Jordon Roos. "We rebounded very poorly and were unable to find any easy baskets in the lane."

The Warriors (2-3) will host Barnesville on Tuesday night.

WCA (4-1) has won four straight games and will play at Parkers Prairie on Tuesday night.
