The Underwood boys’ basketball team traveled to Moorhead on Thursday night to matchup with Park Christian School.  The Falcons handled the Rockets, 69-28, taking a commanding 47-19 halftime lead and holding Underwood to just 9 second half points.

Krosby Aasness and Joey Kupfer led the Rockets with 7 and 6 points, respectively.  Aasness added 4 rebounds and 4 assists.  Underwood shot only 21% (10-46) in the game.

Park Christian was paced by Austin Carlson and Caleb Kern, who scored 16 and 15 points, respectively.  The Falcons made 46% (25-54) of their field goal attempts.

Park Christian started the scoring early and never trailed in the game.  The Falcons shot the ball well and took care of the ball on the way to a breakaway win.  Underwood struggled to take care of the ball resulting in several turnovers.

"We were not prepared to play a basketball game tonight and came out way too flat,” stated Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece.  “We allowed Park Christian to take advantage of our lack of intensity and run away with the game.  I need to re-evaluate and get the team better prepared for the rest of the season."

The Rockets (0-7) will host a pair of Little Eight Conference games next week with Hillcrest coming in on Tuesday and Battle Lake on Friday.
