Otter Swimmers and Divers Come Up Short in Close Meet with Apollo

Fergus Falls hosted St. Cloud Apollo in a Boys Swimming and Diving Meet on Thursday night with the visiting Eagles pulling out an 89-86 win in the Central Lakes Conference dual.

“Close meet tonight,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Randy Hansen.  “Several races came right down to the last stroke but unfortunately we came up short on them.  It is tough to complain about 18 season best times though.  Micah Zosel had a very nice meet with a PR in both the 200 IM and 100 Breast.  Going into the last event we needed 1st and 3rd to win the meet.  I challenged our relays to leave it all out there.  The A relay dropped 6 seconds and really went after it.  The B relay swam a good time but we just couldn't quite pull off a 3rd place.”
