The Rothsay boys’ basketball team traveled to Moorhead to take on Park Christian in a section 6 matchup on Tuesday night. Park Christian took a 24-23 lead at the half. After a back and forth second half the Tigers forced a turnover with 5 seconds remaining. After a timeout, Senior Colby Larson attacked the basket and scored as time expired, giving the Tigers a 48-46 victory.
“Tonight was a battle,” said Rothsay Head Coach Taylor Fuhs. “We got in a ton of foul trouble and had to work through adversity. The boys fought the entire game and gave themselves a chance to win it, and executed.”
Rothsay was led by Colby Larson with 17 points, Sam Danielson with 8 and Jett Kulack with 7.
The Tigers (3-3) will play a Little Eight Conference game at Parkers Prairie on Friday night.
