Despite shooting just 37.5% (18-48) from the field and turning the ball over 16 times, the Brandon-Evansville boys’ basketball team was able to pull out a 56-45 victory over Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Monday night in Evansville.

“It was an ugly game and anyone who watched it knows we didn't play well,” said Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Trent Hintermeister. “We were sloppy on both ends of the floor and did a poor job of communicating with one another. If we want to compete with all teams in our section we will need to play better than what we did. CGB worked really hard and deserves a lot of credit for keeping the game close all night.”

Titus Fuller and Tyler Bitzan led the Chargers with 17 points each.  Bitzan also dished out 4 assists.  Kobe Reiland contributed 8 points and 14 rebounds.

C-G-B was led by Cole Gilsdorf (16 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists) and Nate Moberg (15 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals).

Brandon-Evansville (4-2) will host Hillcrest Lutheran Academy on Thursday night.

The Wolverines, winless in six games, will travel to Ortonville to face the Trojans on Thursday.
