Parkers Prairie was too much for the Underwood Rockets on Friday night in Parkers, exploding for a 101-43 victory.  Parkers was paced by Micah Arens who had 23 points to go with 7 rebounds and 7 assists.  Florian Koep added 20 points, 3 assists and 3 steals, and Cole Koep had 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.

Krosby Aasness led the Rockets 13 points and 8 rebounds.  Bryce Jorgenson contributed 8 points an d8 rebounds, and Drew Evavold chipped in with7 points.

Parkers Prairie put the pressure on in the first half and went into the locker room up 56-20.  They didn't back off of that pressure by outscoring the Rockets 45-23 in the second half.

¨We couldn't handle the pressure that Parkers put on us tonight,” commented Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece.  “Parkers pressured us and executed with taking advantage of our turnovers.  We also gave up way too many second chances tonight.  Hats off to them, though as they are a very good team.¨

The Panthers shot 48% (42-86) from the field, while Underwood was 14-for-35 (40%).  41 Underwood turnovers led to the large difference in shot attempts as the Rockets struggled to complete offensive possessions.  The Panthers also had a 44-29 edge on the boards.

Parkers Prairie (4-1) is off until Friday when they host the Rothsay Tigers.

Underwood (0-5) will host Bertha-Hewitt in a non-conference game on Tuesday.
