Otter Girls Ride Fast Start to 64-24 Win Over St. Cloud Tech

Fergus Falls came out strong in the first half as they hit 14-of-30 field goal attempts and 5-of-13 3’s over the first 18 minutes of the game, building a commanding 38-12 halftime lead.  They cooled off some in the second half, finishing at 37% shooting for the night, but coasted to a 64-24 Central Lakes Conference victory over St. Cloud Tech.

“Our defensive intensity was much better tonight and we really shot the ball well in the first half,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Brad Strand.  “We also had 14 assists, which I thought was good number.”

Ellie Colbeck nearly had a triple-double with 20 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists.  Tori Ratz was also in double digits with 13.

Fergus Falls (3-2) will travel to Alexandria for another CLC matchup on Thursday night.

Tech was led by Emma Imdiecke with 7 points.

The Otters won the JV game, 48-40, led by 12 points from Jenna Carlson.

Tech came out on top in the ninth grade game, 40-30.
