Underwood was unable to keep up with the fast pace of the Brandon-Evansville Charger offense in a Tuesday night Little Eight matchup.  The Chargers jumped out to a 17 point halftime lead behind 17 first half points from Titus FullerKrosby Aasness paced the offense for the Rockets in the first half by scoring 12 points of his own.  However, the transition game was working well for Brandon-Evansville to go into halftime up 41-24.  The second half saw the Rockets start to make a comeback but Brandon-Evansville ended up being too much with a final score of 76-48.

Aasness led the Rockets with 29 points on 11-22 shooting, adding 6 rebounds.  Jayden Harig also added 10 points, while Gavin Pausch didn't score, but added 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

“I thought we played well offensively, but not well defensively,” stated Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Trent Hintermeister. “We let one player score a lot of points and didn't do a good job adjusting throughout the game. Credit to Underwood for playing hard all night, they didn't make it easy for us.”

The Chargers were paced by Fuller, who finished with 31 points on 12-22 shooting with 6 rebounds.  Tyler Bitzan neared a triple double, with 8 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists.  Dezmond White was also in double digits with 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc.

"Brandon-Evansville came out and set the pace tonight and we were not able to keep up with that pace,” commented Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece.  “They shot the ball extremely well and scored a lot of points in transition.  Krosby did a nice job of attacking the rim and getting points tonight.  Our transition defense needs to improve to not allow as many fast break points."

The Rockets shot 38% (19-49) from the field, compared to 46% (30-65) for the Chargers.  B-E also had a 38-26 advantage on the boards and forced 17 Underwood turnovers in the game.

The Brandon-Evansville boys (2-2) will play the Tigers in Rothsay on Friday night, while Underwood (0-4) is at Parkers Prairie.
