Lexi Metcalf stopped all 17 shots she faced on Tuesday night, leading the Fergus Falls girls’ hockey team to a 4-0 win over Northern Lakes.  The Otters put 38 shots on goal.

Fergus Falls got a goal from Talia Nelson at 6:53 of the opening period with assists from Jadyn Bye and Gabby Brimhall, jumping out to a 1-0 lead.  At 14:28 Ellie Andersen scored from Maddie Hulter and the first period ended with a 2-0 Otter lead.

In the second period Bye scored from Rylynn Krein and Piper Andrews at 9:46 and Andersen notched an unassisted goal at 16:50 to make the score 4-0 at the end of two periods.

“Ellie deserved her goals tonight,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Tim Lill.  “It all starts with the way she played in all three zones. Her team followed her energy.  Brimhall also led the ‘D’ corps with great decisions, savvy and gap control.  Two great captains getting the most out of their team.”

Fergus Falls (2-3) will host River Lakes next Tuesday.
