The Battle Lake boys’ basketball team lost a tough game against Parkers Prairie on Tuesday night. The Panthers forced double digit turnovers in the first half which led to several easy scoring opportunities. Parkers Prairie went into the half with a 47-23 lead and never looked back as they recorded a 72-46 win over the Battlers.
“We made some adjustments at halftime that led to fewer turnovers in the second half, but the Panthers size and athleticism was too much for us to handle,” said Battle Lake Head Coach Tyler Owen.
Brady VanErp led Battle Lake in scoring with a team high 15 points. Battle Lake (1-3) will go on the road again on Friday to face another tough opponent in Hancock.
Parkers Prairie (3-1) will host Underwood on Friday night.
