The Ashby Arrows stayed undefeated with a 75-44 victory over the Rothsay Tigers.  The Arrows took a 42-24 lead into the halftime intermission.  They opened the second half with an 11 point run.

Jacob Cook was effective in the open floor finishing drives or finding open teammates for baskets.  Torin Olson from the perimeter and Jaden Norby in the post ended possessions with key scores.

Cook (22 pts, 12 reb, 4 ast, 4 stl) led all scorers.  Olson (17 pts, 1 reb, 3 ast, 1 stl) and Norby (16 pts, 13 reb, 3 ast, 1 stl) netted double figures.  Also scoring were Derrek Bartz (5pts, 2 reb), Hunter Norby (8 pts, 4 reb, 1 ast), Bobby Anderson (5 pts, 3 reb), and Miles Hoff (2pts, 1reb).  Ashton Ecker (1 reb, 1 ast, 2 stl), Carson Spangler (1 reb, 1 ast), Jake Rein (1 reb), and Colby Finkelson made significant contributions to a good team win for the Arrows.

“Ashby really outworked us on both ends tonight,” said Rothsay Head Coach Taylor Fuhs.  “They are very talented, and well coached.  We didn’t do what we wanted to on either end and it showed tonight.  We need to be more assertive and dictate the style of play.  Our boys are ready to get back to work.”

Rothsay was led by Tanner Heier with 19 points and Sam Danielson with 8.

Ashby (3-0) will host Hillcrest on Friday night, while Rothsay (2-2) has a home game against Brandon-Evansville.
